Information for anyone wanting to sell baked goods at the Market!

Many people want to know if home baked goods can be sold at the market. Due to some recent changes in Georgia Law, I am happy to report that the following homemade goods can be sold: Jams, Jellies, Cakes, Cookies, Bread, Pies, & Honey.

There is no requirement for a commercial kitchen or any special permits or licenses. All items should be labeled with Name of item, Name/address/ph# of person who made the item, & a list of ingredients.

The Department of Agriculture has made this exception for non profit markets such as ours, in order to help us help our community prosper.

We want to encourage any of our bakers in the community to come out and set up a booth to sell home baked goods.....it couldn't be easier!

The following products may be sold only with proof that the vendor has met specific State & Federal laws & regulations: Eggs, Meat Products, Dairy Products, Organic Products, Low acid/Acidified foods (canned vegetable, pickles, salsa, etc).

As always, vendors who intend to prepare & serve food on site must comply with local Health Department rules & regulations.

Please just give us a call if you have any questions.

Next Market Day is July 31st!

Its so easy to sell your home grown veggies at our community market. Since we are starting late in the season, we charge only $10 to set up a booth. That $10 goes directly back into our market to make it better.

If anyone has home grown veggies, plants, flowers, or home made crafts to sell, please give us a call. We have a relaxed atmosphere in which to sell or shop.

Our next market date is Saturday, July 31st. Hope to see you there!
